Balls and Mulch!

Why we didn't have any balls for Livvie yet, I'm not really sure.  She loves them.  She's chased them down pretty much every time we go to the library for Diaper Gang!  Thanks to our friends Christine and baby James for the two balls that Liv played with ALL day long today.  Hehe, they are a hit!

I was also pretty excited that you can totally see her chompers in this picture.  As you know, if you've been following the blog, it's not easy to get her to show them to us.  I caught them on camera without even trying!  Take that!  :-)

Now, as I promised, here are some fun pictures from Annie's Playground on Sunday.  You should know that Livvie is a mulch monster and her favorite thing to do at the playground was to inspect it.  Mulch might be high on her list of favorite things.

Happily sitting in the mulch with a leaf!  :-)

'Lemme out of this swing, Daddy!  I want to get to that mulch!'

'Oooo, there's mulch over there!'

Peekaboo!

Yep, still looking for mulch on the funny stairs.

Hehe, I love that baby.  She's so silly.  I'm sure that she's going to have some sort of job that focuses on miniscule details when she grows up.  We'll see!  ;-)

Applewood Farm

It's Fall!  We decided to take Olivia to Applewood Farm today... there are just so many pumpkin farms around here, we had no idea where to go!  We figure we'll just have to try a different farm next year.  :-)

First, we came upon a little area where kids could drive around some tractors and rockets.  Hmm?  Olivia tried the rocket first and didn't like it.

Then, the green tractor became available...

Daddy helped wheel her around for a while...

Farm baby riding a tractor!  :-)

At this point, the little boy on the blue tractor was very upset that he couldn't get it to go forward and I think Olivia was fascinated by him.  The other little boy was patiently waiting for Livvie to step away from the little green tractor so that he could get on it.

Next, we went to the corn maze!

We didn't actually find another way out of the corn maze... we ended up coming back out the same way we went in!  Good corn maze, folks.  We may have been a little lost.  ;-)

Pumpkin fun!

Olivia and I being pumpkins!  :-)
Next, we went to the "petting zoo".  The only thing is that there weren't really animals that you could pet... we saw a big sheep named "Remington" that looked too large to walk and several miniature horses that people could feed but not really touch.  We moved on to the trains.  Chugga chugga choo choo!

After that, we went to the pumpkin area to check out the big pumpkins.  Kinda wish there had been a pumpkin patch!  However, Livvie was much more interested in the leaves on the ground.

Picking up leaves!

Feeling a pumpkin stem...

Silly upside-down baby!

Reaching OVER the pumpkins to grab a leaf!

These were the pumpkins we decided on... I think Livvie was okay with them.  :-)

All tuckered out...

Later on, we went to Annie's Playground and tuckered her out again.  I'll post more pictures tomorrow!  This was a lot of pictures for one blog post!  :-)

The Wheels on the Bus!

Happy Saturday!

Livvie has been getting better and better with her eating skills... I think I'm still way more nervous about it than anyone else.  I've been slowly giving her bigger pieces of things (strawberries, bananas, green beans, etc.) and yesterday as I was cutting up a strawberry I thought that it might be interesting just to see what she does with a big old strawberry.

So, we gave her a few things to try today:

I will not lie... the strawberry kinda freaked me out when she popped that sucker in her mouth.  She just chewed it and pulled it back out, though.  I don't know if I'll give her an uncut strawberry again for a while though.  Livvie did a good job on it, but Momma's not ready!

The waffle was awesome.  She will have waffles again.  :-)

...but perhaps the best part of the day was when I started singing "Wheels on the Bus" and across the room, she started making her hands roll like the wheels.  What?!  You know how to do that?!  YES!  We got some video footage:

Love love love love love.  I think she might be tired of the song now... we may have continued singing it off and on until she went to bed just to see her little hands rolling, rolling, rolling!  Yay!

The New Do

Livvie rocked her new hairdo all day long!  Check her out!  :-)

Okay, so that last one is big because you can kind of see a tooth there... I think there's also a puff in there (closer to the outside of her mouth), but that's the closest we've gotten to getting a tooth on film.  Seriously, she only smiles to show you if you tickle her or do something truly funny.  Hard to pull off if there's only one adult to catch it on camera, too.  Sounds like a job for Mommy and Daddy combined!

Livvie has been enjoying mirrors a lot lately.  Every time she sees one her little face lights up!  It's hilarious and great at the same time!  I took a little video of her playing with one...

We also had fun in a box today.  Jimmy actually went to the store last night to get diapers and forgot them.  (Yep, I called you out on it, honey!)  So, we were down to ONE diaper today and I figured I'd better get to the store asap.  We are stocked.  *whew*  Then we played with the nice big box.

Don't worry, she wasn't upset at the end of the video!  She just kind of tumbled out.  ;-)  That little jack-o-lantern is a shaker thingy via a stroller stride friend's idea... and she pretty much loves it.  I pretty much love the story that you can see with these pictures.  Hehe.  :-)

We also determined this evening that Olivia does not like things trapped in boxes.  Not panda.  Not polar bear.  Not monster.  Especially not Daddy OR Livvie (she got so upset when we put the box on Jimmy's head!)
