Merry Christmas from the Maleys!

*Sigh* Oh blog, how I always mean to keep up with you, but life gets in the way!

I'll try to do better. Hehe. (That's why I'm saying 'Merry Christmas' now! I know me.)

Duncan is now almost 19 months old and handsome as ever...

Duncan, 19 months

Right? I mean, come on. That little Christmas vest? Sharp! ;-)

He is talking all the time now, though not all of what he says is clear. He is absolutely obsessed with cars, balls, trucks, and anything else that rolls. I'm sure he's going to be big into sports when he gets older. He can already jump pretty well, so maybe the nickname 'Dunk' will help him out in basketball? You're welcome, Duncan!

Little man also loves puppies. Stuffed puppies, real puppies, puppies on TV. Every. Puppy. Puppies and trucks. In fact, put a puppy in a truck and that's probably very close to his dream.

And he also loves this girl very much...

Olivia, 4 years old

This girl started preschool this past September. She turned 4 and is lighting the world on fire. She's smart, independent as all get out, pretty, and has the best sense of humor. Hearing your kids laugh (especially together) might be the best sound in the whole world.

Olivia loves all things pink, princesses, insects, dinosaurs, climbing, and anything you can build. Here's hoping she's got Jimmy's engineer mind and uses it to take over the world... bwahahaha!

Oh, my heart! <3

We have been keeping busy over here, for sure! I'm now officially training to be a Jazzercise instructor, plus Jimmy is still working on his PhD, PLUS there are always play dates, pajama mornings, birthday parties, etc etc etc. that are making our time with these little ones fly by so quickly.

Just slow down, time. We're trying to make memories here.

Kinda love this shot!

A big, huge THANK YOU to my dad for taking these photos of us. We love you, Grandpa Bear! :-)

May the Fourth Be With You!

My kiddos just keep growing... and growing... and growing!  May 4th is Liv's half birthday, so of course I had to try to get at least one good pic of her.  I even got her holding the sign and lovie bunny this year and Duncan was quite the little photo bomber.  Hehe.  He wanted her sign so bad!

Oh man, how I love those two snugglebugs.  And oh how they love their Daddy!

Fun with Daddy!

Attack!!!  :-)
I guess they love me, toooooooo... :-)

Me and my munchkins!

Reading :-)

...and you know?  I think they love each other a whole bunch, too.  Clearly, Duncan loves his big sister a ton.  He follows her around and wants to hold/play with/do whatever she is doing!  In return, she's starting to show him what to do and play with him more and more.  So. Much. FUN.

Showing Duncan how to slide!
Playing around on the benches at the playground together.  :-)

"Please, please, please let me play with those window stickies..." Sorry, Duncan, not for you!

Also, here are some other cute pics from the past few weeks.

'What?'

'I love waffles!'

'I do NOT love ball pits.'

Um... I may have labeled that video completely wrong.  It's 'Five Little Monkeys' instead.  Oops!

Fashionista Jammie Livvie

Playing together in the kitchen...

She got her face painted :-)

Snoozy boy!

Me and Liv out in the nice weather :-)

We are currently having some allergy fun (NOT)... so let's hope it starts to rain sometime soon so that the pollen washes away and Livvie feels completely better!  Poor chickadee is feeling seasonal allergies pretty hard right now.  Send good thoughts!

11 Months and SUNSHINE!

We are fast approaching Duncan's 1st birthday... um, where did the year go?!  My little man is getting so big!  Here he is at 11 months old!  (I didn't take a tie picture because I plum forgot.)

Also, I should probably post all of the tie pics that I didn't while I wasn't blogging (check back soon!).

Happy 11 Months, Duncan!

This is literally the ONLY picture I have of Duncan "reading".  I think I mentioned that he's not big on books.  He generally closes them every time you open one and try to read it to him.  However, he does like touchy-feely books right now!  *digs out all touchy-feely books*

Duncan loves balloons sooooo much.  If you are reading this and coming to Duncan's 1st birthday party, please bring a balloon.  Hehe.  He LOVES them.  He may not let go of them, want cake, or to open any sort of other gifts, but hey.  ;-)

Ballooooooooon!

He doesn't look happy, but Duncan really does like the stroller!  You can see all 4 of his teeth in the second pic!  :-)

Mommy/Duncan selfies... he's getting so big.  *sniff*

Soooo much fun to mess with him.  Hehehe.

Just making some music!

Playing in the car during Liv's dance class this morning...
...and just some other fun pictures!  :-D

I had a picture of Liv from last year resting on this bench, so I had her do it again this year!

Playground FUN!

The girliest girl in all the world  :-)

Watch out!  Crazy driver on the loose!  :-)

If you couldn't tell, we have been enjoying the lovely weather lately!  Here's hoping that Spring will stick around for a little while before Summer comes in with the sweltering heat.

Until next time!  :-)

Princess Olivia

In light of my last post, one thing I am not thankful for is the stomach bug.  It has been to visit my house too much in the past month and I am soooo over it!!  You hear me, stomach bug, STAY AWAY.

It seems like Liv is finally back to her normal, floofy, princess-loving self *knocks on wood*... also, I got her to pose, smile, and actually look at me while I took this picture.  Maybe she's not back to normal?  Hahahaha.

Princess Olivia

I think I mentioned that Liv is pretty into princesses right now.  That might be an understatement.  Today she wants me to call her "Cinderella" because she is in love with her new glass slippers.  She was also very concerned that "Prince Daddy" had to go to work today because he won't be able to dance with her until this evening.

Also, I have been dubbed "Queen Mommy" and Duncan was promoted to "King Duncan" so I may have a king.

The reason for our titles?  Well, princes dance with princesses.  Therefore, Daddy must be a prince.  Makes perfect sense to me!  :-)

Some Princess Olivia pictures from the past few months...

A Mommy-made tiara :-)

                                                               Oh those two...

TWO star wands!

Princess Anna (December)

Princess Elsa (Christmas)

Having a princess cookie party with all of her little princesses...
Love this one!

So, we've embraced the princess phase here... I took her to see her first movie in the theater, "Cinderella".  I think she liked it, but it was a touch long for her and I was glad there were only a handful of people in the theater when she got wiggly toward the very end.  Her fave part?  When Cinderella danced with the prince.  :-)

Enjoying some popcorn... hehe

Mommy and Liv at the movies!  :-)

I shall leave you with a video of Liv singing "Let It Go"... I'm not sure if the stool is supposed to be North Mountain or what, but she gets pretty into it.  Welcome to my winter.

Until next time!  May you be royal enough!
