Livvie's Language Explosion

Well hi there!

We are getting settled into our lovely house and I'm even more psyched about it now that I know our front tree looks like this:

It's particularly great because they took all of the trees away from the condo and we had a cherry blossom tree right in front of Liv's window there.  Quite fitting to see those awesome pink flowers outside of Liv's window again!  :-)  Love.

So, April has been the month of Livvie's language explosion.  She repeats EVERYTHING now.  Be careful what you say around her!  It's amazing how much she talks and how it came as if from nowhere... she's so smart!  I can't even list all of the words she knows at this point, it's ridiculous.  Liv knows most of her letters, colors, and shapes, as well.

...but the best thing that she can say now is "I love you!"  :-D

Since it's again been a while since I've posted, I'm just going to post a bunch of pictures for your enjoyment. :-)

Livvie's picnic table!

Lounging in the sunlight with her "O"

Riding Clifford at the playground

Slide!

Climbing with Daddy!

Sooooo good at climbing...

Cutie!

Daddy hug!

Sitting with Daddy.  "Daddy, sit!"

Sitting on the steps... they were forbidden at the condo!

Busy little bee!
We spent part of today outside with some sidewalk chalk that Liv got for Easter... the eggs rolled quite well down the driveway!  ...and for some reason all she wanted to do was sit everywhere I drew with chalk... black pants were not the best choice.

Can we go outside?  ;-)

These two videos are from the playground by our house today.  Liv is such a nature girl.  She likes digging for mulch, worms, rocks, buds, flowers, etc.  It's all good!

Until next time!  :-)

Easter with the Maleys

I am posting yet again tonight!  :-)

So, we bought a new house AND Easter festivities ensued pretty much directly after that.  That's way too many pictures for one blog post.  Here are some pictures to enjoy:

Daddy playing "Tick Tock" with Liv
Us!  :-)
Many, many pictures were taken... these are just some of my favorites!  Enjoy!

Liv with Grandma Joyce and Grandpa Ed

Liv with her Great Grandparents  :-)
Egg hunt time!  Livvie LOVES eggs.  What fun!  We actually did the egg hunt on Saturday because it was super sunny... I'm glad we did, too, because it was a very rainy Easter Sunday.

There are fish in these eggs!
Sharing a fish with Great Grandpa!

Twinsies!

Happy Easter!  We hope you had a nice one!!!  :-)  (Note the rainy Easter day!)

New House!

It's packing week!  Packing week includes packing, packing, boxes, painting, packing, and more packing!  Oh, and packing tape, which Livvie hates.  She screams a terrified scream every time I even go near it.  Heaven forbid I try to fix a book with it!

Hehe.

Happy April!  Yesterday was my Momma's birthday (Grandma April)... we miss you every day.  I can only hope to be as wonderful a mom to Liv as you were to me.  <3

Anybody see a resemblance to Livvie there?  ;-)

I digress... back to all the packing.  We're packing because we're moving (if you don't already know)!  We officially got the keys to our new house last Friday and will be moving this coming Saturday... in the meantime, we are trying to do just about everything before Saturday.  Here are a few pics of the house:

Showing Liv the new house on Saturday... the nose crinkle is always a good sign!  :-)

Our new abode!

Living room with it's pretty floors...

Dining room with French doors leading out to the gigantic deck....

Galley kitchen...

The other side...

Horrible picture of the master bedroom...
...and the other two upstairs bedrooms... Liv's is the one on the left...

Basement with brick fireplace...

Other side of basement = playroom area for Liv... uh, say goodbye to that awful wallpaper!

Workshop area for Jimmy...

Downstairs bedroom = Craft room/office for Alissa... I guess Jimmy can use it, too.

Backyard with Livvie-sized picnic table and shed...

Under the deck...

So that's our house's before pictures.  I'll be sure to post some afters when I can... there are already several projects underway!  ;-)  Thanks to Grandpa Ed!

We are just so excited to have more space for our family and be in a great neighborhood where we can actually go out and walk around, bike, hit up the playgrounds, etc.  It's definitely bittersweet because our condo was our first home and the only place Liv has known... but change is good.  Change is good.  Change is good.  Change is good.  ;-)
