Carving Time...

I was thinking about how to keep up with this blog and still have time to do all of the crocheting I need to do... and I think I just need to carve a little time into each week to update.  I love looking at the blog and seeing how much Livvie has grown.  It's important.  I already remember very few details about everything!

If you follow the blog, just know that I'm currently training for a relay race, building up a crochet business, and yes, taking care of an almost 2-year old.  Life is busy!  :-)

Here's a little bit about how the rest of August went...

Livvie sits in the "big girl chair" much more often.  If she's got something particularly messy or is not staying in the big girl chair, she goes into the highchair.  I think we need a booster seat, though!  (Working on that...)

She LOVES books.  Still.  (Yay!)  The teacher inside me is happily dancing for joy!  This book that Daddy is reading to her was read in a Grover voice and was one of my all-time favorites when I was little.  I like to listen, too.  :-)

Livvie is terrified of the shower, thanks to Daddy!  He might occasionally threaten to turn it on if she's not sitting down or something in the bathtub.  She does, however, love bath time (most nights)... especially when they include bubbles, her green soap, tub crayons, and Daddy making "Turtle Tim" do dives from the shower curtain rod.  The giggles are abound!

Peekaboo!

Pretty recently, I took out Liv's Bumbo chair again.  She was never a super huge fan of it before she could sit and then didn't really want to sit in it once she could sit up on her own.  Now?  She wants to sit in it all the time.  "Livvie sit in zumba?  It's not a zumba, it's a BUMBO!"  (After a few corrections, she says this herself.)

Someone loves nature.  It's not Mommy.
I think she might get it from Daddy.  Jimmy will bring Livvie feathers and now she collects acorns, rocks, pinecones, etc.  ...and she'll do it all with pink pillow.  (Shhh... we're currently trying to get her to forget all about pink pillow!)  She has been OBSESSED!  I wouldn't mind if I didn't think pink pillow were going to burst open at any given moment (several other pillows we had did just that).  Eesh.

The past few days have been "boot weather" days... Livvie will be so excited when she can wear "Kayla's boots" everyday.  Hehe.  Kayla is a friend who is about 2 years older than Liv and they have been handing down all kinds of things (thank goodness for them!).

Oh, this picture of Liv laying down is from a pajama morning we had not terribly long ago.  We snuggled up downstairs, watched some Super Why, and had a lovely time.  :-)

Lately, Liv has been loving helping me in the kitchen.  We make smoothies on a pretty regular basis and I'll let her help me whenever there's something to be mixed.  One afternoon, we made some pudding...

Hehe, most evenings when Jimmy gets home we'll eat some dinner and go for a walk/run and hit up a neighborhood playground.

I finally painted a tree in Livvie's new room... I think it was a good sign that she smiled
 and said "Livvie's tree" when she saw it.  :-)

See?  This is why I have trouble keeping up... so much happens every day!  I have pictures galore and too many to share all at one time.  Next post?  Some fun September stuff, for sure.  I have videos uploading and pictures at the ready!
